Prior Versions

ENERCALC has been in business since 1983 supplying the Structural Engineering Library to design professionals.

Version 1, 2 & 3 were Lotus 1-2-3 Spreadsheet templates. We were the first engineering software company to offer a set of spreadsheet templates as a retail software product.

Version 4.x provided a rewritten product where the user interface was a DOS program which simulated a spreadsheet. The engineering programs were rewritten in the “C” programming language because the calculation capabilities of a spreadsheet were too limited (and indeed today in 2007 a spreadsheet is no match for procedural code).

Version 5.x provided a rewritten Microsoft Windows program for the user interface. The prior “C” Language engineering code was retained and improved over the 9 year run of the product.

Version 6.0 was again a complete rewrite of the product for Microsoft Windows using the substantial availability of newer programming systems.

Version 5.6 and all earlier versions are no longer supported nor are they available.

Version 5.8 is still widely used although no longer supported. To reinstall the prior Version 5.8 Click Here to download the installation program. Version 5.8 requires a Product Activation Code (PAC) to move it from “Demo” to “Licensed” operating mode.
