What is the cause of an "Updater Not Launched Properly" message?

 

This happens if you try to run the updating programs directly. The updating program names are:

 

 ec6webupdate.exe.........Structural Engineering Library update checking program

 ec6nlmwebupdate.exe...Network License Manager update checking program.

 

The update checking program can only be launched by the Structural Engineering Library or the Network License Manager.
