First Time

If you will be purchasing your first license for the Structural Engineering Library there are just a couple of questions you need to ask yourself:

How many computers will you want to use the software on?

The software can be installed on any computer you desire to use it on. Each license can be activated on one computer at a time however the license manager provides a quick and easy way for you to deactivate it on one computer and activate it on another. This involves an Internet service and NOT a USB key.

How many simultaneous users will you have?

Because each license is active on one computer at a time you will need to decide how many engineers will need to use the software at one time. When you purchase multiple licenses our Internet activation system enables you to activate those licenses on any set of computers you desire…and move the license at any time. You are just limited to activating the number of licenses you have purchased.

Will you have multiple simultaneous users on your company network?

If you have an engineering department where any number of engineers will want to use the software you can use the Network License manager. The software will be installed on any computer you wish BUT will check with the Network License Manager to get permission to run.

In this way you can by two or more licenses and have them always available to your engineering staff to use. The Network License manager will simply limit the simultaneous executions to the number of licenses you have purchased.
