The ENERCALC Online Community is a way for all ENERCALC users to interact with each other. Users can post questions to a variety of "Discussion Sections" and other users can respond.
Each "Discussion Section" is divided into main "Topics" that users have posted. In this manner users can post "Topics" for discussion and other users can respond to those individual topics. Each topic's responses are a tree-structured response list for simple organization.
Note: You must have an active (non-expired) Maintenance and Support Subscription Plan to have access to the Online Community.
Here is a screen capture of the Online Community screen (sections may be different in your actual software) :
In Area (1) you see the various "Discussion Sections" that are available. These sections are created by ENERCALC and will be changed as needed. When you highlight each discussion section the "Topics" for that section are then displayed in Area (2).
In Area (2) each line will represent a separate discussion topic that a user has "Posted". The user who posted the topic will have created the "Subject" heading. The "From" line will show the name and email of the user who posted the topic or a response. The [+] sign to the left of the topic Subject is used to expand that topic t view all the responses posted. The actual test of each posting is shown in Area (3).
In Area (3) is shown the detailed messages posted by users.
To START a new Topic :
| • | Select the Discussion Section where the new topic will be added |
| • | Select the [New Message] button. The following window will appear where you can enter your topic "Subject" and your "Topic Detail". |
| • | Pressing [Send] will send the message to the community server. With the nest refresh of your screen the new message will appear at the top of the Discussion Topics list. |
To REPLY to a Topic : When replying to a topic it is important what topic line you "select" to respond to. The topic line you pick will be the "master" line and your response will appear as a sub-topic indented to the right.
So to respond directly to the top-level topic click to select the left-most subject line for that topic. To respond to another users response (which will be indented and under the main topic) click on that users response.
| • | Click to select the topic line that you want to respond to. |
| • | Click the [Reply to Message] button above the list of topics. |
| • | A window will appear with the message you are replying to repeated and your cursor located above it ready to enter your reply. |
Additional buttons:
[List Sections] : Will reload all discussion sections
[Refresh messages in this section] : Will reload all messages for the selected Discussion Section.
[Contact Administrator] : Will initiate an email to ENERCALC technical support.
