Here are some problems that might occur and a solution
You try to "Internet Activate" and your activation is declined.
This typically means that the software has been activated on another computer and is still active on that computer.
Solution: Go to the other computer and perform an "Internet Deactivate".
You have no idea where the software was last activated
This can happen if you are using Internet Activate and Internet Deactivate to move your single license to many different computer. This is the advantage of our system....with just a single license purchase you can use the software on many different computers.
If you cannot locate the computer contact ENERCALC support. We can tell you the date and time you last activated your license. If you can still not deactivate your license we can deactivate it on our server.
The computer with the active license has "crashed" or is unusable.
In this case contact us and we will reset your license on our server.
I have a Network Version. The S.E.L. opens in "Evaluation" mode even though the Network License Manager is up and running.
This simply means that the S.E.L. could not located the Network License Manager (NLM). Several reasons are:
| • | The NLM is not running. |
| • | The NLM is running as a service but has lo9st the ability to monitor network activity. This is usually a "permissions" issue that the IT manager will solve. |
| • | The NLM is blocked from network access by a firewall program. |
| • | The SEL is blocked from network access by a firewall program. |
| • | When NOT using "Direct TCP" your network does not allow "Broadcasting" as a network protocol. |
| • | When USING "Direct TCP" you have not entered, or have incorrectly entered, the NLM IP address and port number into the SEL. |
