Flexible Licensing
ENERCALC offers several software licensing options. These include single-computer, local network, academic and plan check licenses.
Flex License. You are allowed to install the software on any computer you might use. With our simple Internet Activation system you can move your license easily between your computers without contacting ENERCALC. An Internet connection is only needed at the moment of activation and your software will stay activated. You can simultaneously use the number of "seats" that you purchased on any computer you like. See "Internet License Activation" below.
Network Licenses are available for larger offices where you wish to have a group of engineers share a number of "simultaneous use" licenses. Just install the Structural Engineering Library on any computer that would be used to run the software. Install the ENERCALC Network License Manager on a computer that the others can access over your LAN or by IP address and you can easily grant users permission to run the software up to your purchased license limit. Network installations require a two seat minimum.
Internet License Activation is central to the flexible use of your software at any location you choose. You simply press [Internet Activate] and the license is activated on your computer. When you want to use another computer just [Internet Deactivate].....if it is still activated on another computer that computer will be deactivated and your active license moved to the current computer. This means you can have the Structural Engineering Library installed on any computer you choose and just activate whichever one you desire. Our system makes sure you have the proper number of active licenses.
We don't use machine specific licensing or USB keys which are considered inconvenient. Our Internet Activation needs only a momentary Internet connection when you activate the software (using http over port 80).
Academic Licenses are available upon application by university professors. There is no limit to the number of students allowed to use the software. The software has a fixed expiration date. Click Here
Plan Check Licenses are available to governmental review agencies for use in verifying ENERCALC calculations which our clients submit. There is no limit to the number of licenses allowed to run, and the license expires one year after it is granted. A one-time technical support session is offered for installation assistance. Ongoing support is available for a fee. Click Here
