Why does the program gives a message
and "hangs" during printing?
This most likely is a problem with the printer driver supploed
for your printer. Hewlett-Packard printer drivers have been consistently
reported to have problems. Microsoft suggests installating the latest
driver rom the manufacturer, installing the latest Microsoft supplied
printer driver, or installing a printer driver from a VERY EARLY
version of the printer model line.
For example, use a LaserJet III driver for any
LaserJet printer.
Earlier versions of the S.E.L. (prior to 5.5) did
also have some internal command usage that our development system
had problems with, but Version 5.5 and newer is created with an
updated development system and accompanying runtime DLL files.
Why are some fonts missing on the printout?
The S.E.L. printouts use two font styles, "Arial" and
"Small Fonts". Sometimes the "Small Fonts" tagged
text do not print properly. This can be fixed by installing that
font onto your computer.
Also, strange printouts can result from printer driver
problems, printer hardware problems, and broken wire connections
within your printer cable.
Fortunately for us, and unfortunately for the user,
the likliehood of a problem within our software in the printing
support area is almost nonexistant.
How can I set the "Title BLock"
information?
On the UPPER-LEFT side of the S.E.L. printouts is an area where
you can customize the logo and text for your company. From the main
menu, select the Settings item and then select the Printing &
Title Block tab on the window.
Why does the printout say "Unlicensed
Demonstration Version"?
The S.E.L. operates in "Demonstration" mode until a valid
"License Password" is entered. This number is assigned
to each user and contains your registration number and license count
in encrypted form.
If you are a licensed user, select the "User
Information" item from the main menu and enter your license
password. When a valid password is entered your software will switch
to a "Registered" version and the demo messages will disappear.
Can I print to a file? Crete a file
for outside use?
Unfortunately our printing system only creates printouts for the
printer you choose.
