How can I improve the performance of the Structural Engineering Library while running in Windows Vista?

Some users have reported better operation with the Structural Engineering Library in Windows Vista if it runs in Windows XP Compatibility Mode.

Here is the process to make this selection :

Click the Windows icon

Select "Computer" from the list of items on the right side of the list

Double-click on the disk drive where the program is installed

Double-click on the "Program Files" item in the list of folders

Double click on the "ENERCALC_6" item in the next list of folders.

Navigate in ENERCALC_6 and right-click on the EC6.EXE file

Select "Properties" at the bottom of the pop-up list

Select the "Compatibility" tab

You will see a "Compatibility Mode" section. Check the box labeled "Run this program....." and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the list.

Apply the change and close all windows.
